Cal rugs can range from very primitive village rugs on up to provincial worshop rugs.

Cal is south of Bandirma and west by southwest of Bursa in Balikesir province. In earlier times Cal was a major market and administrative center but since the Turkish republic Manyas has replaced Cal as the major city in that area.
