- Lot 2 Lot 2 Bordjalou Kazak Prayer Rug, Southwest Caucasus, last quarter 19th century, (dark brown oxidation), 4 ft. 5 in. x 3 ft. 6 in. Estimate $2,500-3,500 The field and border have some areas in almost full pile. Central diamonds and lower right hexagon have some wear. Dark brown areas have some oxidation. Some spots in border have some wear. Edge and one end are original. Top end has minor reweave (about one inch wide). The pile varies from areas about a 1/4 inch thick to some small areas that have knot collars visable. Sold for $2,963 Seen on www.skinnerinc.com |
