the knots. No foundation showing.Original ends
and edges with some re-selvedging. Small
re-weaves to the kelim ends.
Structure
Asymmetric open right, with two ply brown and
gray goat hair warps and red double shoot wefts
Materials: Sheep Wool Pile, and Weft. Goat Hair
Warps
Full Description: This is a brillinatly colored
and designed "Cloudband" modification.
It intends to "dazzle" and it does. The
warps are very depressed so the rug has a thick
sturdy handle. In spite of the intensity of the
color and design the piece remains clear and
harmonious. Lovely 125 year old Middle Amu Darya
Beshir.
